January 2017: Top 3 Favourite Products

January has been a very busy month for me, I have so many things that have to be done in parallel that I feel like I am always running around and nothing gets done. Of course I don’t have that much time to spend on pampering myself, so my skincare and makeup have been very minimal.

The theme of the month was “save time” and the products I have been using the most, definitely reflect this concept. These products have remained consistent in my routine and have helped me overcome the challenges of my hectic life and the consequences it had on my skin.

2017 Jan Favourites

Clarisonic Aria:

This is a very recent and expensive addition to my night skincare routine. I haven’t tried any other type of electronic cleansing brush before, the price tag always put me off. I finally got this as a late birthday gift at the start of December and I am completely in love with it.

I have been using it consistently since I got it and so far I am very happy with it. I usually use it in the shower and it provides a very fast and thorough cleansing of my face at the end of my day.

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Oil-Control Cleansing Mask:

I don’t usually have breakouts, but the stress and lack of sleep have taken a toll on my skin this month. I gravitated a lot to this mask since it successfully managed to keep at bay any blemishes that were threatening to appear and it needs only 5 minutes to work its magic. It works and it’s fast at the same time! This was a definite win for me!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm in shade Medium:

I have been using this every single day for the last month! As I mentioned in my Everyday Work Makeup: The Snooze Button Edition post, this was perfect for a fast, brush-free, easy application when I was in a hurry to get to work. Doesn’t offer much coverage, but for me and my needs this month, this was perfect!

I don’t have major problems with blemishes, but I really do feel that this mask helps me in keeping it that way. You should definitely try it!

I seriously love it! Just a head’s up… Don’t expect the coverage of a foundation. It is more of a blurring and colour correcting effect if anything. But for me this is exactly what I need. It looks very fresh and effortless

  1. I have a cleansing brush too and they’re such a great skincare essential. The urban decay balm sounds like a really great suggestion for lightweight coverage. Great post!

Thank you! I really like using the Clarisonic. I actually spend much less time and my face feels much cleaner afterwards! I just wish it wasn’t so expensive…

  2. I haven’t used an electronic brush before but it’s on my wishlist for so long, I just want to save money and buy other more important things than this one but hopefully one day I will be able to get it! x

I was exactly the same. I was lucky enough to receive this as a birthday/Xmas gift. Plus I believe there was a 20% off sale at the time. I know there are some cheaper alternatives lately. I don’t know how they compare to the Clarisonic, but if you really really want one but can’t bring yourself to spend that much money you can try those.
