Ok I admit it. I’m a sucker for any kind of Limited Edition beauty subscription post. Every time one gets released, I must have an internal debate with myself. Do I really really need it? Or I will end up spending X amount of money just to satisfy my curiosity?
Well, recently LookFantastic released a new Limited Edition box in collaboration with Omorovicza. I’ve only tried the brand in subscription boxes before, and I am very happy with everything I have tried in the past. However, I knew that I would probably never buy a full-sized product myself, since a moisturizer in a Omorovicza range typically has a 3-digit price tag. With my discount as a monthly beauty box subscriber, it was a very good opportunity to finally try some full-sized products of the brand.
The Omorovicza box itself is different from a typical LookFantastic box. It is cylindrical and has a very pretty white and silver feather design. I will definitely use it for storing little bits and bobs in my office. It contained 3 full-sized products and 3 deluxe samples.
Queen of Hungary Mist (retail price €65 )
The first product in the box, is the famous Queen of Hungary Mist. This is an award-winning product for the brand, and I remember when it was first launched there was a big hype around it. This face mist has a very luxurious feeling glass bottle and it sprays a very fine mist that claims to refresh, hydrate and purify the skin lifting the spirits. It can be used as a refresher toner during the day or as a makeup setting spray. It has a very pleasant smell, with neroli and rose, and according to the brand, the scent was inspired by the perfume that was formulated for Queen Elizabeth of Hungary in the 14th century. So far, I have used it as a refresher mist, and it feels very hydrating. However, I don’t typically have time during the day of spritzing my face with scented water, so I am planning to use it as a makeup setting spray. I am curious to see what is so special about this face mist to justify the 65 euros for 100mls of scented water.
Reviving Eye Cream (retail price €105 )
Another full size product, this eye cream claims to reduce puffiness and the appearance of dark circles. While the Queen of Hungary mist is something that I want to try out of curiosity, if this eye cream delivers on its claims, it is something that I desperately need.
Mineral Touch Concealer in Shade Beige (retail price €50 )
The third full size product in the box, a stick concealer, which is a hybrid between makeup and skincare since it has Vitamins C and E correcting skin tone and boosting collagen production. It comes in a very impressive looking silver tube, that I wouldn’t mind keeping on my vanity for decoration. It feels very creamy and I was pleasantly surprised that the shade matches my skintone perfectly, something that is always a gamble with base products in beauty boxes. That being said, the Mineral Touch Concealer is only offered in two shades, Ivory and Beige. Given that Beige is my colour and I am on the pale side, it doesn’t offer any options for people who are even slightly tanned.
Intensive Hydralifting Cream (retail price €180 )
The next product, is a moisturizer with anti-aging properties, aiming to lift and plump the face and provide hydration. The box included a deluxe sample of the product. What impressed me, is the fact that even though the sample is 5ml, the packaging is the same luxurious glass jar that the full size 50 ml product would have come. I just don’t think that with 5ml I can really see the Hydralifting effects of the cream.
Thermal Cleansing Balm (retail price €65 )
Omorovicza’s Thermal cleansing balm is an award-winning balm, that detoxifies and purifies the skin. It claims to be able to remove makeup, even waterproof mascara, while at the same time it is gentle and hydrates the skin. Similar to the Hydralifting cream, the box included a 5ml deluxe sample, in the same packaging that the 50ml full size product comes.
Firming Neck Cream (retail price €115 )
The last product, is something that I don’t include in my skincare routine yet, as at 28, aging skin at the neck area is not really a concern. Firming Neck Cream is an anti-ageing cream for the neck and decollete area that hydrates, tightens, lifts and firms the skin, improving skin’s elasticity and vanishing wrinkles and fine-lines. I tried the product once and it does feel very luxurious, but I feel that my mom would appreciate it much more. This is also a deluxe sample of 15ml.
I was really excited about the #LFXOMOROVICZA box, and I was not disappointed. It is a great value for money. The box was priced at €90 (with my discount I got it for €70), and the Reviving Eye Cream alone costs more than the price of the whole box. All the items are luxurious and quality products and I can safely say that each one of them will be used (ok one of them by my mom but my point still stands). Now, I am very curious to start testing them, to see if the Omorovicza products justify their value.
